In this second class of our ByAnnie basics series we will make the Piecekeeper. This project is a perfect way to learn many of the basic techniques used to make ByAnnie patterns.
As you make this useful bag, you will learn how to:
Quilt fabric with Soft and Stable
Use Lightweight Mesh Fabric and make zippered pockets with mesh.
Prepare simple handles using interfacing
Bind raw edges on flat projects and go around curves (including tips for going around corners, joining ends, and finishing binding)
Requirements:
Sewing Machine in good working order and knowledge of how to use it. A 90/14 Topstitch needle, scissors, thread, ruler, fabric marking pen, wonder clips and/or pins. The fabric is the same as pictured, so red & navy thread is a good choice with wound bobbins to match. Also, any sewing notions that you find essential.
